Tree service in Arlington, Washington
Arlington sits where the two forks of the Stillaguamish come together, and the trees show it. Along the river bottoms there is cottonwood and alder growing fast in wet ground, which is soft wood, heavy when it is green, and brittle in a way that surprises people. Up on the older streets around Olympic Avenue there are mature conifers planted decades ago beside houses that were smaller when they went in. East toward Jordan Road the lots get bigger and the timber gets serious. We work Arlington constantly. It is a short run from our base in Marysville, it is one of the two cities where our minimum job size is at its lowest because the drive is so short, and some of the jobs we are proudest of are here.

Two of the write ups on our projects page are Arlington jobs. We took three large cottonwoods out at Christ the King Community Church in 2024, and we cut back a run of arborvitae hedge here that was over 200 feet long. Neither of those is a job you quote off a photograph, which is exactly why every estimate happens at the property.
The thing that shapes most Arlington work is water and wind together. Trees growing in soft river ground put down a shallower root plate than the same species would on a dry slope, and when a winter blow comes up the valley the exposed ones are the ones that move. If you have a big cottonwood or a row of alders you have started watching, that is worth an assessment rather than a wait and see.

Questions from Arlington
How quickly can you get to Arlington?
It is one of the closest cities to our base, so scheduling here is easier than almost anywhere on our list. Estimates run Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, and we ask for 48 hours notice so the right person can be there rather than whoever happens to be free. Because the drive is short, we take smaller jobs in Arlington than we would an hour out.
Do you work on the rural lots east of town?
Yes, and a good part of our Arlington work is out that way. What matters on a rural lot is access, because a chipper and a truck have to get close enough to the tree for the job to make sense. That is one of the things we look at first when we walk the property, and it is a large part of why the estimate has to happen on site.
Have a certified arborist look at it
Tell us what the trees are doing and we will come out, walk the property with you and write it up. The visit is free, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and you get an itemized estimate you can hold on to.
